This is a great build. Enjoying it

I’ve used the magnet idea in the past but had forgotten. Duh🤤😂 Thanks for the reminder. 😁

Cheers

Thanks Matt.

Lets see how the magnets hold up over time. I can always switch to Velcro.

Here is a pic of my "new" valve cover and coated header. Note: The valve cover no longer says Honda on it.

Still waiting on my gauges. I am now over a month past the longest completion estimate he gave to me. And he hasn't responded to my last two emails. I know he is busy...

I hope I get them soon so I can finish up my dash and work out any bugs before Solvang.

Love it! Now get rid of "K-Series" fuel rail!

In the meantime can we at least get a video of this thing being driven in anger?

It won't say K-power for long.....

I'll see what I can do for a video.

YES!

I'm still amazed that you pulled the K swap off. If people are not already considering it, I predict after you debut it Solvang we will be seeing more K-Swaps. I need to see this in person. Let's do it.

One guy off of the FB roadster page contacted me. He is in SoCal and going to do one. He is supposed to drive up and look at mine.

Love the build, been watching it for months. Congrats on getting it done.

Is there a chance you’ll be making it to Solvang this year? I would love to see how much space there is on the exhaust manifold side with the engine tilt. Think a g25-550 (17cm diameter x 20cm length)would fit in there?

Thanks.

There is more room on the exhaust side than there was on the intake side.
The K24Z3 has a single exhaust outlet and if you were going to go with a turbo, that might be the easiest. And the Z3's are cheaper.

I'll do some rough measurements this weekend.

I see you are into Skylines. My son and I bought an R32 GTS SV that we are trying to get registered in CA.

Thanks for getting back to me. Maybe a k24 turbo does sound promising.

The only legal way I know of to register any non-show and display/post-75 import in California is getting the compliance work done via g&k auto (includes lab/carb certification/bar label). The R32 GTRs and FD RX7s were $10k when I got mine done. The wait time was also about 8 months. Only G&K to my knowledge has the official permit from the state to do carb compliance work for import vehicles which is different than getting bar labels for usdm cars. I swear they just slapped a few cats on my downpipe and midpipe to get it to pass smog. It’s such a scam lol.

I’ve seen someone with California plates without a bar sticker, but he said he pretty much bribed someone at the dmv (~$4k) to get plates. I didn’t ask much more about this.

Not exactly sure what the current valuation of SV models are, but the compliance cost might be a disproportionate amount relative the vehicle cost. This put me off from getting anything other than a GTR because a Jdm plus compliance would cost as much or more than an usdm equivalent model (FD, Supra, S14, etc). If your son plans to drive the car occasionally, out of state plates is the way to go if possible.

Sorry don’t want to muddy up the k24 swap topic. If you have any questions on the legalization process, feel free to message me.

Thanks. I'll message you at some point. I already spoke to G&K.

Here are some pics of the exhaust side. Hope they help.

Here you go Alvin.

I apologize that the car is so dirty. I spent the morning installing my new dash (Thanks Dean) and didn't have time to clean it before the drive. My dad was the camera man. And the 29 Roadster Pickup was built by my dad. Also a garage build.
