It looks like you need to try to get a larger response and take a vote, LOL. I agree with Curtis, despite opinions on whether the paint that is on the cast ones is original or not, manufacturing wise it makes no sense to paint them, and the engineers would not want paint on the slide rod because it would potentially cause the plastic slider to hang up, and the QC people would scream, "we will get thousands of complaints about hung up latches."Vinnyz wrote:Reviving an old thread subject here........was this ever empirically answered?
