I made some more progress in the past week. I now have 3 wheels ready for paint. Hopefully that will happen tomorrow. They are really going to pop with the new paint on the car. They should be awesome on track, the gold will draw your eye to them (even though you can't see what they are) and then you will notice the car.

I can't wait to get a set of race tires on these.

Hopefully they will look even better by Sunday. The next project after these is my Panasports. I'm not sure what direction I'm going to go with those. I'd sort of like to find a good Bronze like a set of Watanabe's. I don't want to go full black or really dark grey on the spokes however. I was thinking going gold again, but do I really need a 2nd set of gold wheels? What to do?

really? It's a race car. A splash of accent color on that would be HOT.

It would be one thing if I were racing SCCA but orange or pink wheels might not go over so well with vintage racing organizers. The gold is pushing it, but wow does it stand out.

I've got to be honest, I don't know what direction I want to go with the Panasports. I might just be boring and leave them silver. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

What exactly does " go over with the vintage race organizers" mean? Is there a rule about color? Tell them to get over it if they don't like your style choices.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
