Genuine Datsun Roadster U20 Solex Upgrade Kit – 

Original Type III Mikuni Solex Carbs (not a conversion set), original intake manifold, water tube and fittings. This set was originally factory/dealer installed at purchase on a 1968 2000.

These were in excellent original condition, pulled from that original running engine, and then completely rebuilt by the Mikuni guru David Premo at Performance Tuning.

They have all of Dave’s performance upgrades: torsional throttle return spring, fine thread balance screw for precision tuning. All brackets that are reused are re-plated in correct zinc color. And they are warrantied by Performance Tuning should there be any issue.

Every screw, fitment, tube, linkage, pivot etc. was removed and re-plated. Every moving or wearable part, every gasket, etc. was replaced with genuine Mikuni parts. 

The bodies were cleaned with a heated ultrasonic cleaner which keeps the casting looking original and preserves the protective outer finish inherent in the casting process. Vapor honing or sandblasting will remove that.

Comes with original velocity stacks (one has a tiny crack in the lip - see photo) and they have been polished.

Also comes with your choice of original heat shield or aftermarket Solex 2000 heavy duty stainless heat shield from Datsun Restoration Products.

There is no air cleaner, but DRP has a beautiful reproduction available.

I should also mention that the carbs are at Performance Tuning with Dave, so you can work directly with him on your individual tuning and jetting needs, and have them shipped straight to you all tuned up.
