Double checking wheel specs for before buying

Post by The Neck »

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking at a set of the following wheels for my 67.5. I currently have MY springs up front and stock leafs in back. Hoping these are as simple as bolting them up, but figured I'd check before I drop the money and have any unforeseen issues.

Thoughts on these wheel sizes?

Thank you!

+20 offset is "safe"
Make sure the center bore is at least 73mm in diameter to clear the front hubs!

ps I'd recommend running a 15" diameter wheel, this style (Work equip 03) looks great but I think 16" would look odd.
Example mounted on my roadster with 195/50/15 tires:

I was torn, but with that pic I'm leaning towards your advice. I scoured the wheel pic thread you put together for HOURS, literally hours looking at styles, sizes, suspension, etc, and I'm having a hard time choosing between the two diameters, let alone the width and wheel.

If I go with a 15" I'm more than likely going with the Enkei92 since it's only made in a 15" diameter, but that'll probably change 72 more times before I buy something.

Thank you for clarifying and that pic, at least now I've narrowed it down to 2-3!

Finding tires that will fit under the fenders in a 16 will be tough. Also, giant wheels (yes 16s are giant on a roadster) look goofy. Heck, 15s look goofy but there are no good 14 inch tires anymore. These cars drive better with smaller wheels as well.

Thanks guys this is all very helpful! I'll stick with some 15's then.

I have a set of the appliance Mesh in 14", I may get those repaired and polished/coated and see if I can stick with those then.
