DIY engine stand

Post by FergO2k »

When doing a clutch job, traditional engine stands don’t work, because all want to bolt up to flywheel side.
So I built my own starting with a Harbor Fright castered dolly, sitting the engine on 2x6’s which line up with oil pan bolt pattern.
Makes it very easy to move around the garage, and onto a tarp for the Simple Green scrub activity.
And, these Dolly’s happen to be on sale this weekend for 9.99.

Oops, picture too large.

Note: for anyone local, I am done with mine, you can have it (but no shipping, that would be more than it is worth)
