66 parts needed

Post by johnscf »

Trying to get a 66 1600 back on the road. Is there a good source for a windshield? Also anybody got a nice driver’s side A pillar or where I might find one?

Windshield as in glass? Give this place a shot for glass:

Report back one way or another for other members looking for glass.

Dash Pads, no good news. You might try Ross up in Canada for a rough used one. https://sportsimports.ca/ It's possible that Datsun Restoration Products bought some reproductions when Dean at DatsunParts.com gave a heads up early last year that it was "last call" that he was getting out of the Dash Pad reproduction business. Try Jim at https://www.datsunrestorationproducts.com/ to determine if in fact he might have bought some new repros. Even then he might be holding onto them for his future ground up 1965-1967.5 resto. projects.

In December I ordered and received a tinted low windshield from Sanders Repro Glass. It was $420, including Fedex ground shipping to Largo Florida. They were a pleasure to do business with.

FWIW, I also tried ordering the same glass from Metro Parts Market, and didn't have any success. I did get a refund, after opening a dispute on PayPal. I would avoid them.

I'll pass that on to my neighbor. He's been collecting parts and will start the Roadster project once the shocks and suspension from 4Wheelonline for his Jeep were installed this week.
