door trim

Post by johnscf »

I’m finishing up the interior on a 68. Does anybody know the size of the screws that hold the top horizontal trim piece on the doors? I’m talking about the trim piece that has the hole for the door lock post to come up through. There are 3 screws that hold it to the door. Also did originally have finishing washers on it?

I used 6-32 about 3/8” long. I ran a tap through the holes because it had metal screws in previously. I bought them in black.

#6x3/8 oval head tapping (sheet metal) screws is what I used. FWIW.
