Installed some parcel shelf straps that I found on eBay some time ago. Previous owner had cut off the originals -
I have the mounting tabs for the cut-off straps to anyone who wants them, just PM me (you pay UPS flat rate box fee). If no interest in them, I'll be tossing them after a month.

Obviously....I'm not computer literate! LOL. Sorry for so many of same pics...couldn't delete! www.311s.org/phpBB3/download/file.php?m ... 329hment=3]rear harness.jpg[/attachment]. Thank you Curtis and all others that have posted wiring diagrams and upgrade info for lights, relays ect.... Will be starting on dash and engine harness soon!
Also finished up on seat tracks. All track to body bolts were wrong threads and terribly welded, or should I say attempted to stick metal to metal. Seat tracks are a real PIA to take apart and get the bearings back in place. Spent some time on the floor looking for dropped ones! So new bolts welded on correctly with new washers and painted up! Thinking I might repaint black? .
I had not paid any attention to my seats other than moving them out of my way, but when re-installing the slides I noticed what I thought to be 3 air holes in back rest....then it dawned on me, 67.5 seats? I read loveredmeat's article on re-finishing his headrest and don't those have 3 mounting holes?
It's starting to make sense now. Doing rust repair work this past winter when I was working on doors I had 67.5 inside door handles, but PO had butcher welded metal from a 66 door to accept the handles, so I had one 66 and one 67.5 doors on car but inside handles to a 67.5 and door latches scabbed in from 67.5. Had some 66 donor doors, so I was able to weld correct inside door skin and door latch metal back in place and repair the body where the latch receiver is.
Last few days I've been doing a variety of projects on the Whitelady. Made and installed the gas tank harness and the rear harness
Actually, stainless steel lines in general. Guess I was expecting too much that they'd fit w/ minimal tweaking, but....no. This is Day #2 for just the line that runs from the distribution block to the brake master cylinder. Then two more after that. At least I"m working in an empty engine bay.
/end rant and back to work

Are you making your own lines or using some purchased lines? I had to rework the ones I purchased from Classic Tube & had one flair that was mis-formed on the fuel line that took a long time to find.

Somehow, I have to eliminate an inch of space so the line will attach without smashing the line up against the firewall. Oh, I'll figure it out. I just hate tedious crap like this.

Some preparation for Shasta trip. Fluids checked, tires checked, changed out to my trunk lid with luggage rack. We are planning and extended trip home, so will be needing the room for more necessities. After the meet we plan to head to Eureka, a couple of days in the Redwoods, then up HWY 101 through Oregon. Looking forward to the road trip! Pat

Should be a great Trip! We did something similar several years ago, going south a bit first and then over to the coast. Be careful though... you can blast past the redwoods pretty quick and miss turn outs to viewing places. My wife still brings that up... taught me to slow down some...

Re: What did you do TO or FOR your Datsun today?(Roadsters only)
First.Happy Fathers Day to you all. Last week found brakes a little soft. Been awhile since i adjusted rear brakes so I started there. Pull off RH drum to take a look first. All looked good. Adjusted up RH rear, no problem. Pulled off LH rear drum only to find a cracked drum, with about an eight inch crack and a frozen Adjuster. Found a good surplus drum from Roadster Products LLC in Wisconsin (thanks Tim)and received it Saturday. So this morning I pulled the adjuster out. A little heat and some Kroil got it freed up. Cleaned it up and put a little Lubriplate on the important parts and back in it went. Cleaned up my new to me brake drum and installed and adjusted brake. Off the jacks and ready for an afternoon drive. Thanks to everyone who makes this site available to group. It would be a lot harder without it.

I didn't know that "Datsun Tim" had created an LLC. He is fairly prominent over on "Datsun Fairlady Roadster Group" via Facebook. No website that I know of.
