Post by DatsunNoob »

is there a difference between a 1600 SU intake manifold and a solex/weber manifold?

Asking for a friend.

Yes, there is a difference!

The SU intake draws air/fuel through a single, merged runner from each carb body:

The Solex/Weber manifold draws air/fuel through two, separate runners for each carb body:

Agree with Sid, and who needs any other "expert?" Your description was spot on, Alvin.
