There was a thread on this part about 6-8 weeks back. It must have been originally posted in the "Wanted" section as the thread has gone away. Has anyone found a replacement that worked out for them? I'm missing both of mine. Arrow shows where the washer should go. Click on the photo to enlarge it.
I think M8 would be a ballpark size and I found these on Amazon, but I'm concerned with the thickness. I'll probably just buy them if no one has found something else that worked for them.

Hey Dennis,
That might've been me... when I was redoing my wings.
viewtopic.php?p=339208#p339208
And before I drove up to dig around for a pair of OEMs, I emailed you (to the address I have) to see if you still needed some. I didn't hear back... but unfortunately, it's a moot point, as they only had one pair...
But for what it's worth, I did buy some 'new' wavy washers from my local hardware store, and I can confirm that you will likely need to stack some 'new' wavy washers to create enough thickness and pressure to work.
Good luck to you!
Peter

VW used wavy washers extensively in the old Beetles, etc. The VW restoration houses sell thicker wavy washers than you'll find at your local Ace or on Amazon. I have some of those thicker ones in M8....pm your address and I'll drop some in the mail.
