Convertible tops, do I need a new frame?

Post by SPL311-25411 »

Hi guys,

The convertible top frame that came with my car is pretty shot. All the convertible tops I've seen for sale seem to assume I have a functional frame. Is there something I'm missing? Does anyone know where I can get this frame fixed?

That is an impressive level of rust. I have a spare 68-70 top frame assembly if you can't find one locally.

Restoring that pile of rust and broken dreams back to a functioning frame may be possible, but it will cost you your first born and take some serious time to do. Just get a decent replacement and sleep better at nights.
