68 SRL in Maryland

Post by Boostedjoo »

Greetings everyone! :smt006

First I wanted to say thank you all. I've been lurking like an absolute madman. Love to find this level of wisdom and support in a community (helped me pull the trigger on this car). Feel like I already knew my way around the car before I owned it.

Picked the car up recently from a great seller in Maryland and needless to say I've been in the garage ever since. There is now a steady flow of parts being dropped off at my front door. Hope to have the car current and rolling in the next month or so.

Can't wait to meet some of the Maryland Datsuns!

Welcome, glad that you have joined the Family! Very nice ride, clean and simple. Nothing like top down driving in the summer, so we look forward to hearing of your experiences. I can hardly wait for our weather to turn and the passes to open up.

Welcome to another fellow DMV area Roadster caretaker! I live very close to downtown silver spring, just inside the DC line. What part of MD are you in, if you don't mind me asking?
Feel free to reach out to me directly for any reason. PM, email or whatever. I've got two very young boys, so I may not get back to you asap but I promise I will do my best. I am always happy to talk cars. I try to get to local cars and coffee events as well so maybe we can meet at one of those too.
Your car looks awesome BTW, not sure how I missed that one for sale in the area ;)
Best, Russell

Awesome looking car! Already has the front air dam that is such a great addition.

Also in similar boat, I got my 69 SRL this past week. Not nearly as nice as yours, as paint needs some attention. But these cars are a blast!
