Re: Mechanic in LA area
No personal experience with them, but the rebuilds they post appear to be of very high quality - Might be worth checking out.

Re: Mechanic in LA area
I've not had the best experience with Los Angeles Machine shop (Sun Valley) the 1600 had to go back after a full rebuild with all new parts to have had a bad valve guide. I won't get back those 3 hours from the R&R of the engine. Thomas had his U20 done and it ended up with a scored cylinder wall and the only remedy is to get a used U20 put in. My $.02

Re: Mechanic in LA area
I would always take the recommendation of first hand experience any day. Goes to show, selective happy customer posts are not the whole story - Thanks for the insight Rayraylim wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 11:26 am I've not had the best experience with Los Angeles Machine shop (Sun Valley) the 1600 had to go back after a full rebuild with all new parts to have had a bad valve guide.
