311 Billet CNC Steering Arms and New Design Lower Ball Joints

Not only do we have a billet Chromoly steering arm available, but a new 310 or 311 lower ball joint that is 100% rebuildable, with other benifits such as more articulation and some geometry correction.

I am not the vender, I worked with the vender Apex Engineering to come up with these parts. Ive also worked with other Venders, like Techno Toy Tuning with their Micro Big brake kits.

My hope is that this will help the community, as these cars are such a small niche market within the greater car community. Being able to get parts isnt always easy, and any form of performance or updated part isnt always accepted amongst the purist types. But I hope these parts will keep these cars on the road non-the less, and I will continue to work with both these venders to develop more parts.

[Would any of you be interested in a billet cnc steering arm for lowered cars with a quick steer option? The racers use to bend the arm to correct the tie rod and for bump steer issues, clear the frame, and it also changed the steering rate. In order to get a billet piece cut there would have to be enough interest and possibly a preorder through Apex Engineering.
The arm is just an idea currently but Ive already tested prototype center link and tie rods so parts are in the works, but it wont be available tomorrow!
The new steering arm would be made to allow stock steering ratio or quick steering ratio.
Apex Engineering is currently checking into production costs and as of yet the idea hasnt had a cost or price point assigned to it.]

Sorry Phil, the steering arms I am talking about are the arms that bolt to the spindle assembly, that the outside of the tie rods attach to.
This retains the OE idler and steering box pitman arms.

Do you have a time frame for the build of the parts and a price? Would the effect the off set requirements for the rims? Will they work with 14" rims?

Steering arms are strongly pressed drop forged steel .....
steel with a grain
And they still pretzel quite easily in even pot hole hits on occasion
6061 T6 alloy the toughest made has the strength properties of mild steel

I don't know the time frame but my front end is off and would be perfect timing to replace as my front end will be lowered.

I dont have a time frame or cost yet. The price of steel is up tremendously right now.
This will be made to work with 14" rims without any additional modifications

They are forged they are strong but a chuick hole can even bend it
1018 is cold rolled .weak steel..yikes
Again the grained metal
Kyb struts are cold rolled steel they bend near
70 degrees
Nissan factory's struts shafts are hot rolled and hardened only seen them bowed ,as a Datsun alignment tech, I had so many wrecks to fix

And producing a critical auto part like this is a legal nightmare , it's why few attempt it

Thats a shame, Ohm was in the process of moving his entire facility recently to a bigger place. It was a big disruption to his business, but thats no excuse for not giving you an explanation. Its a shame he didnt take you up on that offer. I am going to be taking my complete original srl 68 up to t3 at some point for them to r&d. They are 20min away, and Ohm is in Wisconsin.

as far as the lower ball joints go why did they change the geo of the ball joint? i have yet to push my datsun hard enough to were i am thinking of changing the geo of the front suspension. I am curious as i am interested in a set and modern suspension geo if done correctly is a game changer.
