Crank bolt size not 28mm

Post by Egz »

Soooo, I had to order a different socket for the crank bolt. Research on here says it should be 28mm. Mine, well, is 38mm (or 1.5 inches I guess). Its massive. So, this is more of a curiosity thing, but does anyone have a guess what that might have come from when it ended up on my car in its long lifetime? 1500 maybe?

The metric bolts have a 27mm head.

Your 3-main R16 is all english/sae, so yes, 1.5"
