'69 1600 Rear Side Markers Install

I recently picked up some new rear side markers from Dean and I can't seem to get them to fit tight enough in the hole. They keep coming loose. Does anybody have a pro tip to share to get the part to fit nice and tight so it doesn't fall out? I'm surprised there aren't nut(s) to hold them on!

I thought that they were held on by speed nuts on the studs. Am I mistaken?

There are studs, but they're not threaded, nor are there nuts. The light body is slightly tapered to create a snug fit, but the new one is just loose enough to not snug up. I'm wondering if anybody has a better idea other than wrapping electrical tape around the tapered fitting?

Tinnerman nuts. You'll need to get a size that fits the studs. These can be used to secure the light. Press them down over the studs.

That is a speed nut. Another option is some snug fitting vacuum or fuel tubing. Makes it easier to remove them and won't scratch the paint on the inside.

I used the fuel line on all my lights and badges and it is working well. Got mine from a hobby shop. It’s the fuel line used for gas powered RC airplanes and cars.
