Datsuns Northwest Show! Canby, Oregon June 10th-11th 2006

Post by spriso »

Happy 4/10 day! Canby registration ends one moth from today!

Note I said REGISTRATION and not "pre" registration because really it's the only way to really go. If you don't register before May 10, your car can't get voted on (except for best of show where you compete with every car there), no trophies and no parking next to the cool Datsuns for you!

Download this file:

http://www.datsunsnw.org/Prereg.doc

Fill out the form, get your checkbook out, write a $30 check to "Datsuns NW" and mail it to:

Andy Klink c/o M Bank
P.O. Box 504
Gresham, OR

If you're not close enough to drive then book your plane tickets now! June 10 and 11. Camping is $12/night.

This is going to be a HUGE event, bring your Datsun, any Datsun, out and party with us!

I'll be there, but just to show off and see all the other cars. Mine doesn't really fit into any category since it's almost all stock except the PO painted it Mercedes Green. If anyone wants to rally from Vancouver Washington or someplace near in Portland, I'd be happy to join them.

I plan on being there, not sure which day, more than likely both. I will be heading up I-5 from Hwy 34, the Corvallis/Lebanon exit. The weather looks more promising than last week.I did not pre-register but Im still taking my U20 converted 68spl... Bill Cole

Not bad. It was a gorgeous day with plenty of shade, but only about 10 roadsters throughout the day on Sunday. (Hopefully someone was smarter than I and brought a camera to post a few pics) I'm not sure how Saturday was?Lots of cool 510s and Z cars and such. Last year was much bigger and I thought there would be at least last years 20 plus roadsters. It was also a little different since if you didn't pre-register you had to park off in a different lot with all of the other "day of's". You could still qualify for the best of show if you paid $20 or for $5 you could just park and be part of it. Personally, I thought 20 was a little much for what you got. Of course, i'm a cheapscape with an average to good fun car.

It was great to see and talk to everyone. I just wish more roadsters would have showed up to impress the folks who came down from Seattle and Olympia in their regular rides. Overall it was a nice mellow day full of Datsun lovers.

Rumor has it, their is another all Datsun show planned for the area at Blue Lake Park in August so it would be nice if...EVERYONE showed up.
