Re: Cool License Plates?
I have a set of black plates that are free and clear, but they are a bit too "old" to be correct for a '68, better suited for early-mid 60s. Im hoping someone has some plates that start with a S or anything later. Mine are JAX ###... I might just put them on the car, because I dont think the DMV will tell me its not era correct because they fall within their window

Ok, I know these are not street legal. However, I often show my car in Concours-type events and these were waaay too cool to pass up!

Second one is a masterpiece and the deer head... it just had to be there for the full picture. Never thought somebody will put such a plate number on their favourite car. Though I now a guy who is selling property in Alicante https://tranio.com/spain/valencia/alicante/ and in his garage there is a car with a figure of the bear on the back next to license plate.Habitat.pat wrote: Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:42 pm I lucked into getting a set of 1967 plates for my roadster GBN 141. Great Britain NOT 141. Only a roadster owner would understand. The plates are supposed to be white but mine have been sitting in the barn for much too long!
Not a good plate for anyone you like, but I couldn’t pass up photographing the second one. The deer head ball cover is a nice touch

Re: Cool License Plates?
I just received these in the mail to replace historical tags. We're planning on taking some longish trips in the roadster next year and don't want to deal with any issues that might arise from having "restricted" historical tags.

I don't know if you got an answer about these plates, I just saw the post. These are dealer plates. They are issued to car dealers rather than specific cars so a dealer can move his stock around before they get sold and registered. You wouldn't be able to switch them to your car but they would look nice in a static display. I might guess that if you take them to DMV to get reassigned to you, that they might just keep them, so maybe don't do that.

Oh, I know exactly what they are. I participate in some Concour-level shows and think they add to the aura (illusion) of a new car at the dealership.68DSU wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2020 12:10 pmbakerjf wrote: Wed Sep 11, 2019 11:44 am Ok, I know these are not street legal. Re: Cool License Plates?
ordering plates today for the blue car
Unfortunately FAIRLDY is taken and we can't use 2 numbers in a row here like 67RDSTR so still on the fence on one of these
