5/29 South Bay Fun Run-Everyone is welcome!

Hey All,

If you are off on Monday 5/29 and would like to join the BADROC crew for a Memorial run, please let me know! Preliminary route has us heading south from San Jose on Santa Teresa Road, over 152 west and then north on the coastal back roads. We'll pre-pick a nice spot along the coast for a "picnic/brown bag" 90 minute (or so) lunch break. We'll keep heading north via hwy 1 to hwy 84 and a nice run up the hill for a stop @ Alice's. We'll pick at route down to the valley from there.

Everyone is welcome!

If you can make it, the rendezvous in San Jose will be 915AM and we'll be MOVING at 930am

I'll sort out finer points and post again on Wednesday!

5305 Almaden Expy
San Jose, CA 95118

930AM and we'll be MOVING at 945 am

This is near the hwy 85-87 interchange
We'll be heading south then looping north up the coast, back over the hill and ending at the bottom of hwy 9 in Saratoga.
I'll have some printed maps with all the planned stops.

Hwy 85 & Almaden Expwy
Almaden Plaza


-945 am Depart
South on Almaden Expwy

-Veer Right on Almaden Road

-Turn Left on McKean /Uvas Road
Long stretch of Back Road past Calero, Chesbro & Uvas Reservoirs

-Merge right onto Watsonville Road

-Turn right on Hwy 152 west

-Quick stop @ Mt. Madonna Inn Restaurant on right
Top of the pass, photo op

-Continue down 152 west

-Turn Right Casserly Road

-Turn Right on Pioneers-Varni

-Turn Right on Carrolitos Road

-Turn Left on Hames Road

-Merge right on Freedom Blvd

-Enter Hwy 1 North

-Exit on Park and turn Left going west

-Left on Bay into Downtown Capitola

Look for Parking near water front
Lunch Break!

-Head back out on Cliff Drive /7th Ave

-Turn right on Soquel back to Hwy 1 north

-Enter Hwy1 north to Hwy 9 right turn

-Right on Hwy 9 up to 35 (via Big Basin Way? I guess time permitting but this is nice twisty loop) We'll discuss this at our lunch stop.

-Hwy 9 down to the Valley
-Quick stop in Saratoga

Head for HOMES!!
