High or low? Paint tends to muck up the cast ones.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.

It looks like you need to try to get a larger response and take a vote, LOL. I agree with Curtis, despite opinions on whether the paint that is on the cast ones is original or not, manufacturing wise it makes no sense to paint them, and the engineers would not want paint on the slide rod because it would potentially cause the plastic slider to hang up, and the QC people would scream, "we will get thousands of complaints about hung up latches."

Ugh, that is disappointing. :? Nothing looks like quick and dirty paint work than parts painted like that ....at least to me. I'll be re-zincing mine and using stainless hardware. The next guy can go OEM finish to his hearts content. :smt002

Thats what I'm talking about. I polished and chromed the same striker in my early 240-Z along with any and all latches. The ones prior I at least re-zinc plated them. SO much cleaner and finished looking.
