Work Equip Fitment?

Post by garth »

I am contemplating upgrading my brakes with GTR calipers. I understand I'll need 15" wheels and really like the look of the Equip 01. Does any one have first hand experience with this combination?

Thanks.

Garth,

I have first/second/third hand experience with this.

The Work Equip 01 and 03 wheels that I had both fit fine with the Spriso Motorsport BBK. From what I know, the GTR calipers are pretty much the same size as the Z32 TT.

I do have photos of both sets of wheels mounted on SAKE RKT...... they're just not on the Internet.

Good luck!

Eddie

I noted Alvin's picture updates including your wheels.

A couple of questions.

Your wheel size choice was fronts @ 15x6 +20mm and rears @ 15x7 +7mm

What size tires were you running?
Where was the least clearance? Rear outboard or front inboard off the brake calipers?
What advantage is the different wheel width if 7" rims will fit front and rear? Handling?
In your opinion, would 15x7 +20 offset work well for front and rear for stock suspension?
Was a clearance spacer necessary to clear the brake calipers?

I got more dumb questions but thats enough for now!

Thanks for sharing Eddie and Alvin. :)

Garth,

If you are worried about brake caliper clearance, our 26mm 300ZX caliper conversion moves the caliper in a bit requiring less of a spacer for most wheels. The GTR conversion uses the 32mm wide calipers, requiring more wheel clearance.
