wheel color (not for roadster)

Post by datsunrides »

Looking for input on wheel color choice for these wheels on my restored 520

Maybe the current color is best. Maybe a grey to match the interior?

I would think a chrome wheel would stand out best, but I want to work with what I have (maybe a cleaned up set of slots?). I do plan to add faux 3 bar spinners in place of the dome centercaps. Vibe is early 70's style modified rather than stock restored.

I vote polished slots with the recesses painted body color (sorry, but just like Paul Bauman's roadster.

I'll loan ya a set of three prong spinners to try on, if you like 'em, there is something in your cast off pile we can barter for.

Let me know, that interior looks great, but I couldn't get a good view of the rims in the quarter shot.

So I put the finished bed on it and drove it out to the street to get a better view and I do not like the graphite color with the blue. I think it really needs to have chrome wheels of some sort. Maybe chrome rally wheels with the spinners or I like the D50 factory 5 spoke wheels, but not easy to find with good chrome. Got 2 weeks to figure something out. Thanks for the offer Fergus. I'll let you knopw if I go in that direction.
