Here are some excellent new options for 1500 and 1600 water pumps:

For 64- early 67 cars: Now available, Aluminum pumps machined to correctly fit the 1500 and very early 1.6 replacing the not-so-great cast iron pumps.

The mounting boss for the lower stud is machined down to fit properly with the original mounting stud. (Most pumps require a longer stud and removing the 50 year old original stud can be a disaster)...The pump shaft does not protrude past the new flange so you don't have to drill a hole in the fan. Direct fit, no mods! New top quality, Japanese manufactured, only 155.00 (The pump shown with new black oxide flange)

For 68-70 1600: A new SINGLE GROOVE PULLEY setup for high windshield cars. For any 68-70 1600 with alternator in the original location and not running a smog pump. (Most late model 1600's) Super clean complete setup! (Pumps shown with blue pulley) 300.00 for the Complete Setup: Fan, Pulley,Pump with cast impeller, bolts and excellent SS reinforcing washer. Compare to retail prices online for just a pump. Excellent kit!

Depending on the cost of the 'new' single pulley - you/I can cut your old one down for single pulley - FWIW

Is the SS reinforcing washer (ring) available separately? That would be really nice to replace the locking strips that Nissan used. Very nice part!

Why don't you like the iron pumps?

I installed one of these pumps on my G engine. Perfect fit, no issues, no leaks.

I was originally looking into an o.e. cast iron pump, but at over 300 dollars and assuming at least 20 years old made me hesitant. I was worried the rubber seals would be hardened/brittle and i couldn't justify the cost compared to the new aluminum one jt 68 offers.

These are cast impeller pumps.

Yes, I'll do another run of the 4-bolt washers and make them available separately.
