Did they make two different tranmissions for the 1600?
My tranmission looks nothing like the the pictures in Mike Young's book or the Chiltons repair and tune up guide.
On mine the shifter unit is a seperate piece that bolts onto the main case. It starts after the bell housing and runs back the length of the tranmission.
My shifter is real sloppy and I was wondering if there was any sort of adjustment that did not require pulling the engine and tranmission.
