project roadster. body and frame back together.

Post by roadstermike »

Its been 3 or so years since my body and frame were one. With the help of a hoist, this was a one man job. Check it out. Not sure howlong it will be before I start it but this was a big step for me.thanks everyone for all their input.

You should have reversed the order of your pictures!
Looks like it's coming off, not going back together :-)

Wow, what a clean looking frame, car, and garage floor!
I'm curious as to your connection points for the body hoist. It looks like you used the roll bar brackets and maybe the seat belt bolt holes. Did you find it balanced OK? I used the roll bar brackets and the gussets by the fire wall in the engine compartment. It was a good balance.

Very nice! It's always motivational when your project looks like a car again.

Hi, I used the seatbelt mounting point on the wheel well and looped my tie down around the engine bracket/mounting point in the center of the engine bay. I also used an engine hoist leveling bar to help me level it. With racheting tie downs and the leveling bar, it was easy to keep it level.
