Again, thanks thanks thanks to all of you! For some reason I find this more challenging than building an engine by a long ways! And of course, Alvin has pics of my car!

A 6" rim is 152mm wide. Zero offset would be 76mm on either side of center.
A 7" rim is 178mm wide. Zero offset would be 89mm on either side of center.
.
WRONG WRONG WRONG

A 6" rim is 7" wide on the outside.
A 7" rim is 8" wide on the outside.
Ya, that was confusing to me too. On the calculator page it shows the numbers I have above (152mm for 6" rim and 178mm for 7")... guess they are using the inside vs the outside of the rim? That was why I started using the width of the tire as a measure to figure out how much tire I would have inboard and outboard. And I do have the comp front bar.

Not too make this overcomplicated...
But I am running custom offest adapters on my car, I have heard the arguement that they may be hard on bearings but the entire wheel/tire/adapter combination is lighter than the steel wheel they came with. I used 240z adapters as the base then had them turned down so my wheels where the right amount of clearance . I have enough room to run 8" if I wanted but there is not a lot choices for 16" wheels out there. The end result was cheaper and than getting some zero offest wheels to work. I can run almost any rim on the car .

Is that why Depeche Mode is playing in my head right now? (the good stuff, not the early crap).
