The bungee cord is so bush league... I have tried a roadster set up, and one from a Z, but I don't know what the original one looked like, so I'm not sure what to try and replace it with... Haven't looked around too much, but I thought someone here might have seen one on a 410/411 maybe the same on early trucks with the E1 engine too...
Thanks!
David.
Anybody know what a battery holder for a 65 410 looks like?

my 65 410 wagon came with a long narrow battery( type 53 if I recall) like the 1500 and early 1600 roadsters. It looks as though you have a type 24 battery. In either case, i have the battery hold down for either battery.

Scans from the 410 factory spares manual.
Its a Japanese published manual, so "Domestic" and "Export" refers to Japan / non-Japan rather than USA / non-USA
Apologies for the poor scan quality, one day I'll get around to scanning the whole manual properly.

Thanks a lot! Ross and I are trying to find a frame that will fit... I realized after the fact that I too have that manual and didn't even think to take a look at it... The pictures in that manual are awesome and I have now got it front and centre. It also helped me ID a NOS carb that a vendor has listed on Ebay.

Re: Anybody know what a battery holder for a 65 410 looks li
I'm not 100% sure, but the larger one with the "frame" around the top of the battery looks suspiciously like the holder on my old 510. The "tabs" for the holding-down bolts may be in a slightly different spot ??
Can't check for you as I replaced it with a better, stronger one on my 510 years ago to satisfy scrutineers that the battery wouldn't move during a race.
