Nice work. You've also got quite the Roadster Brain Trust local, i.e. Spriso, Epperly, etc.

Well, I've made a little more progress in the past couple of weeks. Pretty much finished up the carpet and I dropped the seats back in. The seats need new covers but that will have to wait for awhile, they are usable as-is.
My center radio console was sort of butchered when I got the car so I decided to scrap the radio idea and install a set of 3 guages instead. I went with the white faced gauges, oil-pressure, temp, and ammeter. I'll stash the stereo somewhere later and use a wireless remote for that.
I guess the biggest addition is new wheels and tires that I just installed last night. That little bit of "bling" makes a big difference....all of the sudden my wife isn't embarrased to leave the garage door open.

I haven't tested this yet, but may have also solved a operational issue. The car would not even start lately and I suspected that I may have gotten stuff in the carbs. After close inspection, that wasn't the problem. The problem (I hope) seemed to be that when I cleaned up the wiring, I pulled the wires leading to the Pertronix ignition too tight, creating a bind in the advance. Once I figured that out, the car starts right up again. Now I just need some dry weather so I can tune it up. Actually, that's ambitious, I probably better get insurance and plates first......The car hasn't been driven in 20 years or more.

Are you going to change the main gauges to white faces to match the new console gauges?

no, I'm not nearly that committed to this project. It would look cool, but seems like a ton of work.
