The reason I don't often race the roadster in the rain.

Post by SLOroadster »

This was the first time since early '06 that I had raced the roadster in the rain. I was running Toyo RA1s with 75% tread left. As you can see it was a handful.

Since running 2nd gear was a pointless endeavor, I went for 3rd. It made the car more controllable but still not very good. This was my 3rd and best run of the day.

I love the classic "utterances" in the second video!
3rd gear looked like the charm, nice adaptation.

Oops, I didn't think I said anything on that. I've watched it about 4 times. Good thing I didn't post my 4th run. It had some colorful commentary after I spun twice, collected a cone and had some other issues with the driving.

The funny thing in the 2nd video, I didn't actually hit a cone, or if I did, I didn't get called for it. It was a clean run.

I used to commute in my first 1600 all winter on worn first generation Eagle GT's, must be a similar feeling, I know similar language was involved when it snowed :D
