I have one in my 2L. I did have to trim the bottom of the brace that is welded onto the sides of the radiator to get mine to fit It was hitting something. Since it is aluminum it was easy to cut. That said, it looks good and not given me any problems.

I installed one on my 66" and it was a perfect fit, no problems whatsoever. I noticed that the car ran a little cooler after installed, which is a bonus.

I have installed the 2 row one inch tubes radiator on my car and I am super happy. My car runs much cooler than before. I'm also a dealer I can get you the 2 row for $175 +shipping or the 3 row for $215 plus shipping.

My 67 has the prototype for the early cars in it. I contacted Mike at Champion about 6 years ago when I was restoring my 67. I sent him my stock radiator and he sent me the prototype, free! It fits perfectly with no modifications needed. I know that on the later 1600 cars some had to trim part of the mounting ear off to get it past the steering box. It should fit perfectly in your 66.

I have a late model so that explains it.
