Looks nice, is the megaphone the same size and taper as the original? Also is the resonator the same size as well? I was told that stainless can "yellow" with heat, is this true? Were you able to upgrade the packing that you asked about?
Really nice looking work. :)

Just from me at the moment. I'll probably provide them to a few vendors when I have more on hand. Thanks! Jim

Hi Linda, The megaphone is the same length and outlet diameter as OE. So it looks the same installed. The original had a dinky 1 3/8 id pipe in the center, which is just wrong for a U20. The center pipe in the SS version is 1 3/4.
The inlet pipe slips over the stock late model pipe perfectly, just clamp it on.

As for yellowing, the tail end doesn't get that hot (like a header) so not much of an issue. Since it is all stainless, there is no chrome to fail, won't rust from the inside out etc. Just polish it when you polish your bumper :-)

P.S. In the process of building a 2" version for built U20's, KA,V6 and SR cars....

Great looking piece! Does the resonator really make a difference in the sound compared to just a megaphone tip without a resonator? Also, do people run their cars with just this piece, resonator and megaphone, without a muffler or is that too loud? I haven't been around other cars to compare sound and preferences. Thanks.

Are these made in the US, or are they the ones that are for sale in Japan?

Wow i want one i am taking the chassis to the muffler shop tomorrow to have him fit a exhaust i planned on using my old resonator and chrome tip fitted to the header and they will be adding a muffler.

What would the estimated cost be for this setup.
