2013 Roadster Calendar Pictures

Post by ted heaton »

I just received the 2013 Calendar and had to share the photos that Jared selected.
They are in order by month.
Hope this motivates those who have procrastinated to order NOW.
Then you can find out who owns these fine Roadsters.
I bring to your attention that while CA. is "Roadster Central", there are more roadsters (4) from the Pacific Northwest!
Thanks to Jared for producing a great Calendar.

Ted.

And though we didn't vote before, my vote for best photo now goes to Ted's photo, based on car and composition, and has nothing to do with how nice Ted is!
All are quite nice though. I like the vineyard shot too for second place.

Linda :)

I got my calendar and I love it.

I'm not sure I'm cool with Ted posting a picture of each page though - that kind of kills the surprise when it arrives in the mail!

Taking pictures of magazines and posting the copyrighted stuff isn't allowed on 311's - is this the same or different?

Cheers

Well, of course, I must concur with the wise and knowledgeable Linda about the choice of
my roadster picture as the best BUT like Will who does not approve of Engine swaps I do not approve of Roadsters with
tops up (right Alvin?) so I would go with Richard's Roadster in front of the harbor (last picture) for second.
I took that picture on July 4th on my round about back road route to the Shasta Roadster show.
Linda did say I was Nice, right, but what about cute!. Check out the first 213 insert picture. That is me in the back seat.
Steve Carter got to drive first and Joe Schwarz is co-pilot.
Good story with that picture of us 3 old guys looking so happy that some one said it would be a good picture for one of
senior citizen "Depends" ads as were were about to crap our pants!.
On our visit with Richard before Solvang to see Ross and the BC roadster guys at Sports Imports, we went to Mitch's place
to see his FINE Roadster collection. Perfectly restored 213 and 64 1500 plus a nice 67.5 2000 and his yellow 68 SR conversion!.
All in his fantastic roadster man cave garage with Lift!.
The 213 is the nicest Restoration in the US and probably anywhere!
So we are all drooling over the $150,000 + worth of Roadsters and Mitch says
"drive any and all, they are only cars and if they break I can fix them".
Now that is a good attitude!!. Well, most of us drove the SR conversion and we did not break anything or crash!.
Thanks Mitch!
