original window sticker?

Post by DCooke »

Has anyone ever posted a hi-rez scan of the original sales window sticker for our cars? I'd be interested in reproducing one for my car in Photoshop. It would be nice to display it with my car at the local shows I attend.

Dave-

I have a scan of the window sticker from my first Roadster. If you PM me with your e-mail, I'll send you a copy. It's not the best scan, but you should be able to re-create it. The car was a 67.5, but the sticker shows it as a "1967".

That is something I would not mind having a copy of myself. Maybe it is something that can go into our "wiki" section.

Bill,
I modified the one that Bucky made for his 67. Mine's a 68, so I'm not sure if it's the correct one or if the window stickers were the same for all the years. Anyways, I agree, it would be a good resource for others to have & modify & print for their own cars. I'll see what I can do, and if Bucky's ok with it too, he's the one who put most of the work into recreating it, I just did a few mods in Photoshop.
...probably not a project I can tackle till the fall when the roadster goes into hibernation.

"Work" is a four-letter word. 8) All I did was to spend some time with a drawing program and then moved the text around until it looked like the original scan.

Steve- If you want a blank one for the Wiki I'd be happy to send you one.

Does anyone have any information on Datsun dealers from the 60's? The window sticker I created from Bucky's template had a California dealer, but my roadster is from Arizona, so I'd like to have an Arizona dealer for my window sticker. I haven't seen any info like this on any of the Datsun websites. If anyone has info for this please let me know.

Yep. 8 1/2 x11, kind of a buff-to-yellow heavy paper with orange ink. The 67.5 1600 I had was $2621 with delivery. The 2000s would have had a different sticker, but I don't know what was on it. Probably very similar except for the engine and trans info.
